All About BATTSCAN

Frequently Asked Questions

BATTSCAN is a mobile diagnostic app and hardware system that performs high-voltage battery health testing for hybrid and electric vehicles. It guides you through each step with on-screen and voice instructions, delivering clear, color-coded results in minutes.

BATTSCAN is built for automotive technicians, shop owners, and dealerships who service hybrid. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just getting started, the app makes battery diagnostics simple, accurate, and accessible.

It’s a quick, three-step process:

  1. Connect the BATTSCAN hardware to the vehicle’s OBDII port.
  2. Pair your Android device and follow the voice-guided road test.
  3. Review your Test Conclusion Report, which outlines battery health, voltage variations, and diagnostic codes.

No advanced training or complex setup required.

Yes! BATTSCAN supports a wide range of hybrid and continues to expand its vehicle compatibility list with every software update.

Currently, BATTSCAN is compatible with Android devices. An iOS version is under evaluation for future release.

Each report includes:

  • Module or cell health (color-coded for easy reading)
  • State of Charge (SoC) and energy capacity
  • Voltage variations between modules
  • Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
  • Test completion status and observations

This data helps technicians
identify aging or failing battery modules and communicate findings clearly to customers.

A typical test only takes a few minutes. The app collects enough real-world driving data to deliver a detailed analysis — and produces the full report instantly once testing concludes.

If a test is terminated due to a user or connection error, BATTSCAN automatically saves the event in your Termination Records. You can review the error, correct it, and retest. Every attempt is logged for reference and traceability.

Yes — all completed and terminated tests are saved within your Test Archives and can be synced to the cloud for secure backup and access from your Android device.

BATTSCAN will be available via a monthly subscription through the Android app. Pricing details will be announced prior to the January 2026 launch.

The official release of BATTSCAN Version 2.0 is scheduled for January 2026. Join the waitlist below to receive launch updates and early access information.
